The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson
The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson is a series of five films produced by Lenfilm for Soviet Central Television, divided into eleven episodes. The series stars Vasily Livanov as Sherlock Holmes and Vitaly Solomin as Dr. Watson. Directed by Igor Maslennikov, the films were shot in Russia, then part of the Soviet Union, between 1979 and 1986. It became one of the most successful television series in Russian television history.
