The Adventures of the Mole
Krtek, or The Mole in English, was created by Czech director and animator Zdeněk Miler in 1956 and became an international hit with children. The cartoons featured no dialogue, allowing Krtek to transcend national boundaries and reach a global audience. Miler's daughter provided the voice for the noises and grunts that Krtek made, and also offered him feedback from a child's perspective, helping him maintain a focus on his young audience.
