The Centurions

*Centurions* is a 30-minute American science fiction animated television series, produced by Ruby-Spears and animated in Japan by Sunrise. The show was influenced by comic book artists Jack Kirby and Gil Kane, who contributed to its design and conceptual development. The series premiered in 1986 as a five-part miniseries and was later followed by a 60-episode main series. Ted Pedersen served as story editor, and the scripts were written by multiple authors, including science fiction writers Michael Reaves, Marc Scott Zicree, Larry DiTillio, and Gerry Conway. The theme music and soundtrack were composed by Udi Harpaz. The show was accompanied by a line of toy figures produced by Kenner and a comic book series published by DC Comics.
