The Dreamstone

*The Dreamstone* is a British animated television series that aired four series of 13 episodes each between 1990 and 1995. The original concept and artwork were created by Michael Jupp, who later developed another animated series, *Bimble's Bucket*. The series was produced by FilmFair as a Central production for ITV. In 1996, FilmFair was acquired by the Canadian company Cinar from the Caspian Group; Cinar later became Cookie Jar Entertainment, which in turn became part of DHX Media. As a result of these acquisitions, DHX Media gained ownership of the first two series, while a company named Dreamstone Productions Ltd. retained ownership of the third and fourth series. *The Dreamstone* is set in an alternate world known as the "Sleeping World," and primarily focuses on the conflict between good and evil.
