Fred and Barney fake illness to avoid taking their wives to the opera, using a prehistoric helicopter to sneak away and join their bowling team. Their plan is almost successful until Barney's loose talk gives away their whereabouts.

Fred, convinced that he has used magic to make Wilma and Betty disappear, takes Barney to the Rockland nightclub to see his old friend Hot Lips Hannigan perform. Their evening of fun is interrupted when the missing wives arrive to confront them.

Fred and Barney collaborate on building a swimming pool, but their friendship is strained when Barney spends the majority of his time using it, causing frustration for Fred. In response, Fred recruits a friend to pose as a police officer and interrupt a pool party hosted by a neighbor.

Fred arranges for Barney to get a job as a furniture repossessor via a business contact. Barney's first assignment is to repossess Fred's television, which leads to an awkward confrontation. To avoid betraying his friend, Barney uses his first paycheck to settle Fred's overdue payment.

After sustaining a head injury, Fred is transformed into a refined aristocrat, and his altered behavior leads to chaos throughout Bedrock.

A Hollywood film crew arrives in Bedrock to shoot *Monster From The Tar Pits*, enlisting Fred as a stand-in for lead actor Gary Granite. Complications arise when Wilma and Betty audition for roles and become infatuated with the movie stars Rock Pile and Wednesday Tuesday.

Fred and Barney are tasked with babysitting young Egbert and taking him to Joe Rockhead's house to watch a wrestling match on television. At Joe's home, Egbert befriends Joe's pet runtosaurus, dresses it in baby clothes, and convinces the adults that the creature is the child. The misunderstanding leads to confusion and chaos when the runtosaurus climbs a tree.

Fred and Barney try to raise money for their pool hall by wagering Fred's paycheck at a dinosaur racetrack. After losing the bet at first, they are surprised when a long shot wins, triggering a series of unexpected events. Their celebration is cut short when they realize the win leads to new complications.

Barney gives Fred a belated engagement ring for Betty to keep, but Wilma discovers it and incorrectly assumes it is intended for her. To prevent hurting her feelings without the means to buy another ring, Fred convinces Barney to compete against a boxing champion in hopes of earning a $500 prize.

Wilma and Betty win a vacation to Hollyrock on a TV show, but feeling left out, Fred and Barney take time off to join them. When Wilma is mistaken for a talent discovery, Fred takes matters into his own hands to bring her home.

Fred's victory at the Loyal Order of Dinosaurs golf tournament is jeopardized when Barney, the club president, withholds the trophy due to Fred's unpaid dues. In response, Fred demands the return of all items Barney has borrowed over the years, resulting in a tense standoff. Wilma and Betty intervene, successfully mediating between the two men and restoring peace.

Barney and Fred buy a sweepstakes ticket and conceal it inside the lining of an old coat. Betty later donates the coat to a homeless man, which prompts the duo to begin searching for it. At the same time, Wilma and Betty, unaware of the ticket's significance, have the actual winning ticket stored at the Rubble house.

Fred and Barney secretly plot to open a restaurant, but Fred must explain to Wilma why two young carhops are contacting him and what the references to two tons of dino-burger meat mean.

Concerned about a burglar roaming Bedrock, Betty enrolls in judo lessons for self-protection. Wilma expresses interest in joining her, but Fred dismisses the idea, claiming Wilma would be too scared to stand up to a criminal. To test his theory, Fred disguises himself as a burglar and breaks into the Rubble home on the same night the actual intruder appears.

Fred and Barney take their wives to an amusement park for a night out. Fred records a novelty song at a booth but loses the record, which is found by teenagers and given to a disc jockey. Unbeknownst to him, Fred becomes an accidental local rock star under the name "Hi-Fye."

Fred and Barney sign up for dance lessons in preparation for an upcoming charity ball. However, their story about joining the volunteer fire department is uncovered when Betty and Wilma learn that Bedrock is entirely made of stone and thus cannot catch fire. This revelation leads the wives to suspect infidelity and question their husbands' real motives.

Fred discovers a bag of stolen money and assumes it is the answer to his financial aspirations, but Wilma and Betty insist that he return it, unintentionally making him and Barney the primary suspects. Determined to uncover the truth, the women develop a strategy to apprehend the real culprits, and Fred ultimately becomes instrumental in resolving the case.

Industrial tycoon J.L. Gotrocks hires Fred, who closely resembles him, to attend a board meeting in his place while he experiences life among ordinary people. Fred enjoys the perks of J.L.'s luxurious lifestyle, but the scheme faces challenges as J.L. proves to be dismissive and impatient with the very people he claims to want to understand.

Fred and Barney accidentally enlist in the Army, believing it to be a physical fitness test, and must say goodbye to their wives before beginning their three-year term. During basic training, their clumsy behavior leads them to mistakenly volunteer for the first lunar landing mission.

Fred, Wilma, Barney, and Betty are invited by their friend Gus Gravel to a luxury seaside hotel for a free vacation. However, they soon discover that the hotel's promised activities are more like laborious tasks. Gus admits that his entire staff has quit just before a major convention.

Wilma and Betty are chosen as finalists in a televised baking competition, but they become ill with measles just before the event. To assist them, Fred and Barney disguise themselves as women and take their places in the contest.

Fred leads a Boy Scout troop on a camping trip, but the journey quickly becomes complicated. When a sudden flood occurs, he and the boys are forced to seek shelter on a tree limb above a dangerous waterfall, where they remain until rescue arrives.

Wilma and Betty, frustrated by their husbands' financial complaints, decide to rent rooms to student musicians who play piano and bongo. Fred and Barney agree to the plan without realizing that the arrangement includes music and dance lessons from their wives.

Fred enrolls in a weight loss commercial, only to learn he is being used as the "before" example, which embarrasses him. A cash reward to lose 25 pounds in a month and several different diets all prove unsuccessful, until a support group for overeaters offers to assist him.
