The God of High School

God of High School" follows Jin Mori, a young martial artist living independently after leaving his grandfather, as he travels to a regional preliminary of a nationwide high school martial arts tournament. Along the way, he encounters Han Daewi and Yoo Mira, who are also en route to the competition. The tournament promises intense battles where only pride is at stake and martial prowess is the only reliable asset.

Mori, Daewi, and Mira advance to the next round and share their motivations for competing. Mira expresses her desire to find a worthy successor for her late father's Moon Light Sword Style to restore her family's dojo. On tournament day, one of the top contenders, Gang Manseok, battles tai chi practitioner Go Gamdo.

Mira competes against Mah Miseon, a professional wrestler from WWD, but struggles due to her lack of physical strength compared to Miseon's power. Mori risks disqualification for interfering in a match between Gang Manseok and Go Gamdo, but is given a chance to reenter the tournament by defeating Commissioner Q, as arranged by sponsor Park Mujin. Meanwhile, regional preliminaries proceed nationwide, with an unknown organization working in secret, seeking a mysterious key to achieve their goals.

The top four fighters in the preliminary round have been determined, and as Mira prepares for her semifinal match against Daewi, she receives an unexpected marriage proposal from Oh Seongjin, a renowned martial artist and businessman. She accepts on the condition that he restore her family's dojo and promote the Moon Light Sword Style, but this decision forces her to withdraw from the tournament, angering both Mori and Daewi.

Daewi relentlessly pursues victory over Mira to secure funds for his ailing friend, Woo Seungtae, whose condition worsens. Mori easily defeats his semifinal opponent but is disturbed by Daewi's ruthless tactics. The two then meet in the final round.

The national God of High School tournament will feature team battles composed of the top three competitors from each regional round. Mira secures third place, earning a spot in the nationals alongside Mori and Daewi. Meanwhile, Mujin informs the administrators that the tournament is part of a larger effort to find the "Key," and he contacts The Six, a group of elite fighters, to counter the threat posed by Nox, another organization seeking the Key.

Mori's team loses their opening match when he uses a pressure point technique learned from Bongchim of The Six, causing him to become paralyzed. In the second match, 38-year-old Jin Pumgwang, the oldest competitor, defeats Daewi with powerful attacks from his physically demanding work background. Meanwhile, Commissioner Q is attacked by Drake of Nox and, after sustaining serious injuries, removes his limiter to summon the divine-powered charyeok Joker.

Park Ilpyo's team competes against Gwim Gi's team, with Gwim Gi summoning his charyeok, Jack the Ripper, while Ilpyo opts for a traditional taekkyon fighting style. Daewi is suspended for interfering in a match and attacking Taek, drawing criticism from Mira, while Mori appears distracted, recognizing something familiar on Ilpyo's back.

Mori urgently tries to rescue his imprisoned grandfather, Jin Taejin, leaving Daewi and Mira confused and unprepared for the tournament. With Mori absent and Daewi unable to compete, Mira faces a difficult match against Marin, whose evasive tactics and swordsmanship challenge her. As the battle intensifies, the National Treasure begins to glow, revealing its true form.

Mori vows to win the tournament and rescue Jin Taejin after learning about Nox and their involvement in his imprisonment, while his opponent Ilpyo is equally determined not to lose due to a personal vendetta. Four years earlier, Ilpyo's cousin Seungyeon, who was also Seungah's sister, had her leg broken by Jegal and was forced to abandon martial arts, prompting Ilpyo to adopt a ruthless attitude. Meanwhile, Feilong is eliminated after failing to injure Mori, as Jegal watches with a sinister grin.

Ilpyo confronts Mori in a powerful clash, summoning the charyeok Nine-Tails and revealing himself as the Key. Despite Mori's use of his Blue Dragon Tempest, Ilpyo easily halts the attack, but the battle takes an unexpected turn when Mori's body begins to emit a sudden surge of energy.

Ilpyo attacks Jegal with brutal force, nearly killing him, before transforming into a tentacled creature to restrain him. Using the power of the charyeok Greed, Jegal taps into the abilities of the other charyeoks he has absorbed and turns them against Ilpyo. As the battle escalates, the sky above the arena shifts dramatically, revealing a sword-wielding deity and his followers.

After Jaesan's technique brings down the god above the arena, Mori and the others fall into a massive cave and confront Jegal, who has become a god by absorbing the Key. Despite their combined efforts, Mori, Daewi, and Mira are unable to land a hit on him, and Daewi is gravely injured while shielding Mori. As hope fades, a long-forgotten memory begins to resurface in Mori's mind.
