The Good Guys

In the 1970s, Dan Stark and his partner, Frank Savage, were prominent detectives in Dallas. Their status was elevated when they were celebrated as American heroes for rescuing the Governor's son. Three decades later, Dan Stark is a fallen detective, often found either intoxicated or reminiscing about his past successes. His new partner, Jack Bailey, is a diligent, rule-following, and generally competent detective, though his tendency toward sarcasm often works against him. This self-sabotaging behavior has led to his being relegated to a dead-end job in the department, where he handles minor theft cases that others avoid. Additionally, he is assigned the unenviable duty of supervising Dan, a disgraced figure who has a history of losing partners due to his unreliability.
