The Incredible Hulk is an American animated television series based on the Marvel Comics character the Hulk. It aired for two seasons, comprising 21 episodes, on the UPN network from 1996 to 1997. Lou Ferrigno, who played the Hulk in the 1970s live-action series produced by Universal, voiced the Marvel version of the character in this animated series. The show frequently included cameo appearances by other characters from Marvel's animated lineup of the time. Following feedback that the first season was too dark, UPN requested changes for the second season, including the addition of She-Hulk as a regular co-star to attract female viewers. As a result, the series was officially retitled The Incredible Hulk and She-Hulk. The second season also introduced the Grey Hulk as a character.
