The Internet Ruined My Life
The Internet can be a powerful tool, enabling people to communicate and conduct business across borders. However, it also facilitates the anonymous threatening of others or the dissemination of content that may be objectionable. This series presents stories of individuals whose lives were significantly disrupted due to something as simple as sending a tweet or posting a status update. Each episode features two people whose lives were dramatically affected by a few keystrokes. The true stories include a woman who received death threats for sending a tweet calling for the cancellation of a cable show, a British man who was detained by the Department of Homeland Security because British slang was misunderstood, and a woman who was forced to move out of her town due to violent threats directed at her for using the wrong emoji on Facebook.

Every stage matters — pitch decks and treatments from development, location scouts and table-reads from pre-production, set photos and crew anecdotes from production, edit-bay notes from post, and press kits, festival memories, or marketing ephemera from distribution.
