The Julekalender
The Julekalender was a Danish TV series that aired at Christmas 1991. It was written and performed almost entirely by a trio of Danish comedy musicians known as De Nattergale, with financial and technical support from TV2, a Danish television company. It was highly successful at the time, leading to many invented phrases from the series entering popular culture. The show was later released on VHS and more recently on DVD. The series consisted of 24 episodes, following the format typical of other TV "calendars" both before and after The Julekalender.
