The Keepers
A Soviet live-action film adaptation of J. R. R. Tolkien’s *The Fellowship of the Ring* was produced for television and aired once in 1991 by Leningrad Television. After its initial broadcast, the film was believed to be lost until it was rediscovered in 2021. The adaptation includes scenes featuring Tom Bombadil and the Barrow-wight, elements that were omitted from Peter Jackson’s *Lord of the Rings* film trilogy.
