Lee Gon is overcome with grief following his father's sudden and tragic death, while Lee Lim, escaping from danger, stumbles upon an unexpected escape route through a mysterious door that leads to a parallel universe.

Gon claims to be an emperor from another world, leading Jeong Tae-eul to take him to the police station, where they encounter an unexpected situation.

Tae-eul has difficulty believing Gon's assertions, particularly since certain parts of his account appear inexplicable. At the same time, she becomes heavily immersed in a murder investigation at her job.

After losing her police badge, Tae-eul begins to reflect on her relationship with Gon, while Kang Sin-jae grows more frustrated with his mother's continued bad habits.

Tae-eul struggles to navigate the intricate dynamics of Gon's world after being taken to the palace, while Jo Yeong observes her with suspicion and growing irritation.

As tensions escalate over the possibility of military conflict, Gon assures Tae-eul of his return and assumes command to address the increasing threat to the kingdom.

Gon brings Yeong with him on his journey back to Tae-eul, as he has a favor to ask her. At the same time, Yeong has uncovered something troubling that she wishes to talk to him about.

Luna is released in Corea, while in Korea, Gon and Yeong encounter someone who recognizes them, and Sin-jae experiences vivid childhood memories resurfacing.

Gon intensifies his search for Lim and proposes a switch with Yeong, asking Jo Eun-sup to take her place. At the same time, Koo Seo-ryeong receives troubling mail from an unidentified sender.

During Lunar New Year, Gon and Lim face off in public, intensifying their conflict. At the same time, Tae-eul shares information with Sin-jae about the other world and her ongoing investigation.
