Lon Trafford is a battalion commander tasked with ensuring the safety of the city's citizens. Robert is an officer who is close to a French diplomatic officer, having been recruited by the King of France. One day, the body of a drowned person was discovered, and the deceased was identified as a French officer. The officer was not only found drowned but also wearing a canary dress, a garment typically worn only by young ladies in the court, which led to tensions between France and Ayutthaya. As Loin and Rob develop feelings, they consider the idea of escape.
