Synopsis
Thackery recruits Edwards to assist in testing a new medical theory, while Lucy navigates the consequences of rebuffing Robertson's romantic overtures. Meanwhile, journalist Genevieve Everidge investigates one of Thackery's professional rivals, Cornelia confronts the narrowness of her husband's compassion, and Barrow encounters political opposition in Tammany Hall. Gallinger contemplates eugenics at a class reunion, and Edwards is visited by an unexpected guest.
