The Magician on the Skywalk

Set in the Chinese Shopping Mall, the film follows the lives of nine children as it portrays their varied and enchanting experiences. In the summer of 1985, Xiaobudian, a fourth-grade student, was already an accomplished street vendor, selling items on a skywalk to earn an allowance. His father owned a shoe shop in the mall. One day, a magician appeared in the mall, seemingly out of nowhere. He possessed a treasure bowl and a zebra that emitted colorful lights, and he performed numerous magic tricks. Xiaobudian was captivated by the magician and began buying magic props to practice daily. Meanwhile, more children in the mall encountered the enigmatic magician and, after watching his performances, discovered life-changing powers.
