The Meeting Place Cannot Be Changed
After World War II ends, a young officer named Volodya Sharapov returns to Moscow to work at MUR—Moskovskiy Ugolovny Rozysk (Moscow Criminal Police). There, he meets Gleb Zheglov, the leader of a squad tasked with combating organized crime. Their primary mission is to track down the gang "Chernaya Koshka" (Black Cat), which is terrorizing the city. They also need to determine who murdered Larisa Gruzdeva. While Zheglov suspects her husband, Ivan Gruzdev, Sharapov is not convinced.
