The Misfit of Demon King Academy

The tyrannical Demon King Anos, who once ruled 2000 years ago, has returned. He now oversees the Demon King Academy, where his descendants compete in duels as part of their training to become Demon Lords and his successors.

Anos, a powerful hybrid with immense magical abilities and the status of founding ancestor, is regarded as an outsider at the Academy. Despite the ridicule from his peers, he remains unfazed and takes on the role of team leader in a competitive exam, with only Misha as his teammate. Their opposing team is led by Sasha, Misha's older sister, who treats her with disdain.

After much time has passed, Ivis, one of the Seven Elder Demon Emperors created by Anos from his own blood, teaches a special class at the Demon King Academy called the Great Magic Training. Emilia urges Anos to treat Ivis with respect, but he responds in a dismissive and condescending manner.

Misha reveals that she is destined to vanish at midnight on her 15th birthday, as her existence in the world was made possible only through Ivis Necron's magic. Anos Voldigod challenges her acceptance of this fate, vowing to defy the limitations imposed upon her and the two sisters.

The story follows the "Misfit" as he faces new challenges in this unexpected development.

Anos and his classmates search the Demon King Academy for the "Child of God," while his allies battle ancient demons. Anos engages in a strategic duel with Ziek Ozma, a high-ranking officer of the King of Death, to identify the "Child of God" with limited chances to guess correctly.

Anos leads a group of first-year students to Zehenburg as part of an expeditionary exam, seeking his former ally Shin Reglia, who sent him a cryptic message. Along the journey to the Spirit Forest Aharthern, Anos encounters Lena, an information broker also traveling to the forest, and the group continues together into its depths.

Anos and his team proceed through the trials set by the Great Tree Spirit Enyunien in their journey to reach the Spirit King. In the next challenge, "The staircase of Geunier," they must select five correct paths from twenty, seemingly based on chance, but they succeed with guidance from Lena. Lay and Misa reach the Spirit King's castle first and face the final trial.

Avos Dilhevia, revealed to be Misa under the influence of traditions and rumors, gains the support of demons in central Dilhade and vows to destroy Anos. Their performance captivates the Draconids, drawing them into the music. Meanwhile, Anos encounters Dietrich, King of Agatha, who possesses a prophecy from the future.

After Ceris departs, Arcana, struggling to recall her past with Anos, slips into another dream, where she learns a hidden truth about herself from Ceris in a memory from 2,000 years ago. Anos had reincarnated her to protect her, but his original wish for her was different.

The conflict between Dilhade and Giordal escalates as Anos grows wary of Giordal's limited military strength. After observing Cannibal leave the castle with the power of a Divine Dragon, Anos realizes that Giordal's 1,500-year prayer has actually served as a lasting divide between the two warring nations.
