The Naked Director
Pinku, a Japanese softcore film sub-genre, has played a long and significant role in Japanese cinema. The genre has existed for over forty years and has experienced many periods of growth and decline. One of the directors during the movement's peak was the prolific Muranishi Toru. Adapted from a novel about the man, this series portrays the character, his art, vision, and his interactions with the approving and disapproving people around him.
