The New Guy
Max is the new student at a provincial school in Russia, having recently moved from Moscow, where he attended a private school amid the city's bright lights. After attending a classmate's birthday party, he vanishes without a trace. The investigation into his disappearance gradually uncovers not only hidden aspects of Max's life but also those of his classmates, exposing secrets they had tried to keep buried. Issues such as bullying, early drug and alcohol use, and domestic violence come to light. While not everyone is surprised by these revelations, the question remains: who is truly responsible? *The New Guy* examines the consequences of what happens when trusted individuals choose to ignore what they see.
