The Returned

In a remote mountain town, Camille and Simon, who died years earlier, mysteriously return to their homes unchanged and unaware of their deaths, causing confusion and emotional upheaval among those they left behind. As Camille's sister Léna and Simon's soon-to-be-step husband Thomas struggle to cope, nurse Julie encounters a mysterious young boy, while the town faces a resurgence of violent murders reminiscent of a past tragedy.

Simon makes contact with Adèle, but Thomas discovers his return. Meanwhile, Camille struggles to reintegrate into her family, which has changed significantly in her absence—her parents have separated, and her mother is now involved with Pierre, a mysterious man who seems aware of the dead returning. Unusual events hint that Camille and Simon might not be the only ones who have come back.

Camille attempts to reintegrate into society by creating a new identity as "cousin Alice," while Léna discovers a mysterious and rapidly spreading scar on her body. Simon begins to rebuild a connection with Adèle, who gradually accepts that he has truly returned rather than being a figment of her grief. Meanwhile, Julie's traumatic past resurfaces, putting her at risk of destruction, until she finds unexpected help.

Father Jean-François betrays Simon, pushing him closer to Lucy, while Serge and Toni search for Lena, with Toni encountering his deceased mother and Serge vanishing beneath the lake.

A flashback reveals that Camille's return at the dam coincides with the emergence of multiple Revenants. Victor, after waking in his car, tells Julie and Laure that Revenants attacked him during the night; en route to the shelter, he learns Toni killed his brother, leading to his mother's death, and uses his power to force Toni to commit suicide. Meanwhile, Simon escapes custody and abducts his daughter Chloé, and Thomas arrives at the shelter, where the group realizes more Revenants are approaching.

Six months after The Returned vanished into the mountains with Victor, Simon, Camille, and Julie, the town grapples with ongoing chaos—Adele is nearing the birth of Simon's child, parts of the town remain flooded, and the military enforces order. As a mysterious outsider arrives, a new wave of resurrections begins, reigniting tensions and uncertainty.

Toni remains hospitalized under police observation, unaware to them that he is one of the returned. Meanwhile, a group of the returned, including Julie, Victor, Camille, and Claire, take refuge in a flood-isolated area.

Berg's cryptic behavior suggests he may be withholding key information, raising questions about his true intentions and the potential dangers lurking beneath the surface. As suspicions grow, the lines between ally and adversary begin to blur.

The villagers are troubled by the sudden return of the Revenants and attempt to uncover the reason behind their reappearance, investigating the eerie secrets hidden in the lake, dam, and surrounding forest.

Jérôme and Berg meet Audrey, who has fled the Domain. Simon urges Adèle to conceal their child from the Revenants. Concerned for Julie's safety, Victor decides to leave the Domain with Madame Costa.

Sandrine gives her daughter Audrey to Pierre's associates, who imprison her in a cellar. Adele and Simon, taking refuge in Father Jean-François's church, start to reconcile. Meanwhile, Julie discovers Victor's father, an elderly man in a coma who holds a significant secret.

Jérôme is reunited with his family in the Domain, but their escape is blocked by the Revenants. With the military preparing to reconnect the Domain to the town by draining the water, tensions rise over the fate of Lucy and the Horde. Meanwhile, Sandrine becomes convinced that Audrey is her missing daughter.

Following a violent incident at the gym, the Séguret family attempts to flee their town, but Camille decides she cannot remain with them and chooses to join the Revenants. Meanwhile, policeman Alcide delivers Simon and Adèle's baby to Lucy, but by then the Horde has already scattered, leaving Lucy uncertain if they will ever return.
