The Secret Saturdays
*The Secret Saturdays* is an American animated television series created by Canadian cartoonist Jay Stephens for Cartoon Network. It premiered in the United States on October 3, 2008. The series centers on the Saturdays, a family of cryptozoologists who travel the world searching for cryptids while keeping their existence a secret to protect both humans and the creatures. Along the way, they face villains such as the megalomaniac V.V. Argost. The show draws inspiration from the style of 1960s-era Hanna-Barbera action series, combined with Stephens' personal interest in cryptozoology. The series concluded its original run on January 30, 2010, and as of December 5, 2011, it has been airing in reruns on Boomerang. The Saturdays also appear in *Ben 10: Omniverse*.
