The Shining
A desperate writer takes a winter caretaking job at an isolated mountain resort to rebuild his life, only to battle malevolent forces that threaten to drive him insane and destroy his family.
The Shining is a three-part television miniseries based on Stephen King's novel of the same name. Directed by Mick Garris from King's teleplay, the series was first aired in 1997.
