The Tale of Outcasts
Wisteria is an orphan girl living in a remote part of the British Empire at the end of the 19th century. Her life is isolated and grim—until she meets Malbus, a powerful yet equally lonely immortal figure with a furry appearance, pursued by hunters. Together, Wisteria and Malbus travel across the Empire—home to both humans and human-like creatures—in search of a place where they can live together in peace.
