Synopsis
When Matt's mother, Kelly, suddenly returns, Matt and Caroline are taken by surprise. At the same time, Stefan and Elena become worried about Damon's shifting behavior, and Damon receives an invitation from Sheriff Forbes to take part in a charity bachelor auction. Alaric discovers unsettling truths about his past, and with the help of Jenna and Stefan, Elena starts looking into the identity of her birth mother, worried that the reality might be too much to handle.
