The Written Off
*The Written Off* is a Serbian television series that was widely popular in the former Yugoslavia when it first aired in 1974. Radio Television of Serbia has since broadcast the series in reruns ten times, with the most recent airing beginning in 2012. The show has developed a cult following and attracted an estimated 3 million viewers during its last rerun. The series is based on the exploits of freedom fighters in Belgrade during World War II, though all characters and events are fictional.
