Thunderbolt Fantasy

Set in an Eastern-inspired fantasy world, a brother and sister duo of sacred guardians are targeted by the Xuan Gui Zong, followers of the antagonist Miè Tian Hai, who seeks the powerful Tian Xing Jiàn sword in their possession. When Hai appears in person, the brother is defeated in battle, but his sister, Dan Fei, escapes by leaping off a cliff to safety. Later, a wandering swordsman discovers a ruined temple where a statue of Buddha is shielded from the rain by an umbrella. After taking the umbrella for himself, he is approached by a man resting nearby, who warns him that he must show compassion to the next traveler as a trade-off. That traveler turns out to be Dan Fei, who is still being hunted by the Xuan Gui Zong. As a result of the man's sorcery and the circumstances, the swordsman becomes entangled in the conflict.
