A struggling four-piece South London jazz band is mysteriously transported back in time to the 1920s and 1950s through an elevator in a run-down block of flats. In the past, they encounter a mix of curiosity and confusion from the people around them, and the band humorously grapples with the clash between their modern sensibilities and the social norms of the time. As they move through these eras, they experience environments that feel both strikingly familiar and profoundly alien.
