To Give a Dream
Thirteen years ago, the Abe family relocated to a suburban town surrounded by nature. The family consists of Toma, their French father (played by De Lencquesaing Nozomi), his Japanese wife Mikiko (Rinko Kikuchi), and their daughter Yuko (Kanon Tani). On the surface, they appear to be the perfect family. Mikiko arranges for Yuko to audition for a commercial, and she is selected by Murano (Joe Odagiri), a director at an advertising agency. Yuko begins a career in show business. Several years later, Yuko (Nana Komatsu) moves to a major entertainment company. As her mother had hoped, Yuko becomes popular, appearing on magazine covers, variety shows, and drama series. However, she begins to feel an uncomfortable disconnect between her public persona and her true self. During this time, she meets Seiko (Mackenyu), a dancer who follows his own path, and falls in love with him. The nightmare begins.
