A mysterious orb lands on Earth and adapts to its surroundings, changing form from a rock to moss and eventually a dying wolf. The wolf makes its way to a boy who lives alone in a small cabin in the snow.

An orb that has transformed into a boy arrives in Ninanna and is attacked, later being found by a girl named March, who is uncertain if she will ever grow up.

March is taken to be sacrificed to the god Oniguma, and during the journey, she cares for Fushi, whose mental state remains childlike despite his youthful male appearance.
