Trick
Yamada Naoko, a 23-year-old magician known as a "super" in her field, faces constant unemployment and pressure from her landlady over unpaid rent. After being fired yet again, her boss shows her an advertisement from a physics professor who does not believe in magic and is offering a reward to anyone who can prove its reality. Desperate for money, Naoko takes on the challenge, leading her to meet Professor Ueda. Initially fooled by her simple magic tricks, Ueda becomes impressed and recruits Naoko to help investigate the methods used by a local cult. Their comedic efforts, along with those of police officer Yabe, lead them into further mysteries, each requiring the solving of tricks in a style reminiscent of "X-Files" meets "Scooby-Doo."

Every stage matters — pitch decks and treatments from development, location scouts and table-reads from pre-production, set photos and crew anecdotes from production, edit-bay notes from post, and press kits, festival memories, or marketing ephemera from distribution. Any moment that didn't make the press tour, any document or photograph that's been sitting in a box — please share it so it's not lost to time.
We particularly welcome contributions from writers, producers, cast, crew, festival programmers, distributors, marketing teams, their families, and anyone who was there at any stage.
