*UC: Undercover* is an action-thriller television series that explores the secret lives and personal struggles of an elite Justice Department unit tasked with confronting the nation's most dangerous and elusive criminals through undercover operations. The series aired from 2001 to 2002. The stories were written by Shane Salerno. The main title theme and pilot episode score were composed by David Arnold, known for his work on the *James Bond* films. Salerno described the show as a "very music driven series." *UC: Undercover* was produced by NBC Studios in association with Jersey Films, Chasing Time Pictures, Regency Television, and 20th Century Fox Television. The series had a brief but successful run before being canceled by the network. The show gained a dedicated audience internationally and continues to air on FX International.
