Uzaki-chan Wants to Hang Out!

Shinichi Sakurai, a college junior, enjoys a quiet and solitary lifestyle. However, his peace is frequently disrupted by Hana Uzaki, a loud and persistent classmate who consistently attempts to involve him in social activities.

Uzaki visits the café where Sakurai is working, making him somewhat uneasy. During her visit, a chaotic incident involving a cat takes place. Later, Sakurai takes a lunch break with a real friend.

Ami, the daughter of the café owner, shares her father's fondness for people-watching. At the same time, Sakurai becomes ill with a serious cold, and Uzaki approaches her senior with an important request.

During the Golden Week holiday, Uzaki tries to convince Sakurai to leave the house, but instead, Sakurai ends up on a crowded train heading to an unintended destination.

Sakurai's friend tries once more to bring him and Uzaki together, only to encounter unexpected resistance. At the same time, Uzaki contemplates her feelings about choco-mint.

Uzaki starts a part-time job, while Sakaki organizes a summer trip for the group, which includes a relaxing day at the beach and a mysterious nighttime walk.

Sakurai invites Uzaki to a cat café to cuddle cats, while Uzaki asks Sakurai to join her for drinks at a pub to celebrate her 20th birthday.

The café owner and Ami suggest that Sakurai take Uzaki, who is feeling down, to a fireworks festival in hopes of restoring their relationship.

Sakurai visits Uzaki's home and meets her mother, whose reactions suggest that Uzaki has not shared much about him. At the same time, Uzaki begins behaving in an unusual manner at work, leading to confusion among her colleagues.

A school trip to Tottori Park presents an opportunity for others to encourage Sakurai and Uzaki toward a romantic relationship, as the location is famously associated with love.

Sakurai compels Uzaki to clean her room and later participates in a cooking lesson with Uzaki's mother. Following this, Sakurai visits a karaoke bar by herself, only to find herself involved in a progressively chaotic and disastrous scenario.

Uzaki recalls her high school experiences with Sakurai, and as summer comes to a close, she formulates a plan to observe his behavior while he is under the influence of alcohol.

Hana expresses her sadness about summer coming to an end and confides in Sakaki about her feelings for Shinichi, which leads the three of them to go bowling together. During the game, Hana playfully attempts to distract Shinichi, who proves to be unskilled at bowling. Later, at a closed café, Ami has Hana and Shinichi try on new, revealing uniforms. After staying up late playing games with Hana, Shinichi becomes exhausted and falls asleep during class, and Hana joins him in falling asleep.

Sakaki shows Ami photos of Hana and Shinichi napping together, and the group goes shopping, where Hana mentions spending time with Shinichi at the pool. Later, they play futsal and meet Sakaki's friends, while Shinichi improves his udon-making skills under Tsuki's guidance, though misunderstandings continue. Ami and Sakaki attempt to encourage Hana to take a more active role in her relationship with Shinichi by warning her that he may be interested in other girls. During a cooking lesson where Hana teaches Shinichi how to make croquettes, she remains distracted by their earlier conversation, while her mother misinterprets Shinichi's innocent question about her name. The lesson concludes positively, with the croquettes turning out to be delicious.

Hana is upset that Shinichi uses first names when addressing other women but not her. Hana grows anxious about losing touch with Shinichi after he graduates and, convinced he is in love with her, comes up with a plan to make him confess his feelings. She begins making lunch for him, which draws attention from her family. When she refuses to introduce Shinichi to her sister Yanagi, Yanagi decides to visit the café on her own.

Hana becomes upset at a café when Shinichi uses her last name instead of her first, which he does for others like Yanagi. Meanwhile, Yanagi discusses her encounter with Shinichi with her mother, causing Tsuki to misinterpret the situation. Stressed about exams and inactivity, Kiri visits his father's gym to relieve his anxiety, only to feel overwhelmed when Shinichi arrives.

The Uzaki family goes on a hotsprings resort trip while Kiri remains at home, still uneasy following a previous meeting with Shinichi. Fujio reminisces about Hana's childhood and draws attention at the resort for his physical appearance, while Hana meets Shinichi and Sakaki but is advised to return to her family. In the meantime, Kiri feels regret for not joining the trip, and the family's cat, now more muscular, gains admiration from other neighborhood cats.

As Christmas approaches, Sakurai and Hana experience increasing tension. Sakurai becomes unsettled following his reunion with his family.

Hana and Sakurai reminisce about their time in high school, while Sakurai's father voices his worries about their relationship. At the same time, Sakurai receives important advice from an unexpected source.

On Christmas Eve, Hana invites Sakurai to spend the holiday at her home, where he meets her father, Fujio, who claims to recognize him from an unknown past connection.
