Vice President Selina Meyer and her team—chief of staff Amy, spokesperson Mike, advisor Gary, and executive assistant Sue—struggle to adapt to life in Washington. Selina takes on the Clean Jobs Commission as a key initiative, but a string of setbacks forces her staff into damage control efforts.

The staff celebrates a successful clean-jobs bill and seeks a compelling photo opportunity, but their plans to visit a frozen-yoghurt shop are disrupted by an unexpected stop in the White House Situation Room and a spreading stomach illness.

Selina marks two decades in Washington, D.C., while dealing with media scrutiny over her public image and reported tensions with the first lady. Her college-aged daughter visits and is both amused and unsettled by her mother's efforts to adopt a dog and her strong reaction to the name "Selina" appearing on hurricane lists.

Dan and Amy investigate whether an Asian-American war hero turned governor poses a political challenge to Selina. At the same time, Selina and Mike prepare for her "Meet the Press" interview, while Gary and Amy uncover a surprising detail about Selina's personal life.
