Synopsis
As unrest spreads among the populace, Queen Victoria is moved by the appeal of a Spitalfields silk weaver and resolves to take action. Defying the counsel of her advisors, Prime Minister Peel and Prince Albert, she devises an elaborate scheme to promote the struggling industry. A grand medieval-themed ball is planned at the Palace, requiring all attendees to wear garments crafted from Spitalfields silk.
