W: Two Worlds Apart

Yeon Joo is contacted by her professor, who urgently requests that she retrieve information about a popular graphic novel series, *W*, from her father. In exchange, he offers her the opportunity to perform a surgery. She visits her father to obtain the information.

Sung Moo returns after a period of absence but does not disclose the details of her recent experiences, which leaves Yeon Joo confused. Concurrently, Sung Moo resumes drawing, with the aim of directing her efforts toward Kang Chul.

As Soo Bong becomes more entangled in the world of W, she begins to take Yeon Joo's claims about it more seriously. Kang Chul brings her to his home and starts questioning her about her background.

Kang Chul is convinced that Yeon Joo knows something crucial about Hyun Seok's concealed past, while Yeon Joo is arrested as a result of So Hee's actions. During a visit to the prison, Kang Chul pleads with Yeon Joo to answer his question if she wishes to return to her normal life.

Kang Cheol delves into the origins of his character and visits Yeon-joo in the hospital, where they share a kiss. At Seong-moo's home, he uncovers how his creator's painful history shaped his narrative. Confronting Seong-moo, Cheol demands to know the identity of the killer responsible for his family's death in order to find closure. When Seong-moo refuses to provide the information, Cheol fatally shoots him.

Yeon Joo arrives at Sung Moo's workroom and discovers him already shot by Kang Chul. Before taking his own life at the Han River Bridge, Kang Chul leaves a final letter for Yeon Joo.

Kang Chul awakens apparently unharmed, while Yeon Joo is taken into custody in his reality. She proposes that they craft their own narrative, prompting Kang Chul to give up his search for the actual culprit.

Yeon Joo sustains injuries within Kang Chul's simulated world, prompting fears that she may not survive. At the same time, the individual responsible for her injuries in the real world locates her and tries to kill her. In an effort to address the crisis, Kang Chul encourages Yeon Joo to utilize her drawing ability to stabilize the situation.

Yeon Joo is unexpectedly drawn back into the mystery, although Kang Chul no longer recognizes her. To create a plausible resolution, Sung Moo sketches a suspect that aligns with Kang Chul's understanding of the case.

Yeon Joo remains trapped in the W world, while Kang Chul becomes unsettled by her lingering gaze. Chul Ho faces complications with the emergence of the true culprit, who reveals future events to him.

Yeon Joo returns to reality and discovers that Sung Moo has lost his face, prompting her to investigate the source of the story. She learns that the narrative is being drawn by the true antagonist and takes Sung Moo's tablet to continue drawing in an effort to save Kang Chul.

Kang Chul becomes aware once more that he is a character in a graphic novel, and a portal to the real world opens. He confronts the true antagonist in Sung Moo's workshop, who warns him that his existence is about to end.

A funeral takes place for Kang Chul in the world of W, as he and Yeon Joo had hoped to live together peacefully in the real world. However, their plans are thrown into disarray when a new variable appears, enabling the true antagonist to escape and take Yeon Joo captive.

Sung Moo regains his original face and begins to recall the memories of the true perpetrator, leading him to search for Yeon Joo, only to discover she has died. At the same time, Kang Chul becomes ensnared in a trap set by Han Chul Ho while attempting to locate a mysterious tablet.

Yeon Joo returns to the W universe and meets Kang Chul at a court proceeding, while Han Chul Ho abducts Doh Yoon to gain leverage over Kang Chul. The two main characters also grapple with determining the conclusion of their story.

Yeon Joo and Kang Chul escape their safe house after being discovered by the police. Kang Chul goes to Han Chul Ho in an attempt to rescue Doh Yoon, but Han has already learned about the existence of the W world. The outcome for Kang Chul and his quest for a happy ending remains unknown.
