Waking Love Up
*Waking Love Up* is a 2011 Chinese drama directed by Shen Yi. It is a remake of the popular 2005 Taiwanese drama *The Prince Who Turns Into a Frog*. The story follows Xiang Tian Qi, heir and CEO of the HaoLi Hotel Group, who is set to marry Mu Zhi Qing, the hotel’s PR manager. On the day of their engagement, a rival within the company orchestrates an accident that leaves Tian Qi in a coma and causes him to lose his memory. Liu Xiao Bei, an ambitious young woman from the countryside with dreams of a better life in the city, discovers Tian Qi and brings him home, where he is given the name Xiao Yu. As Tian Qi begins to form a bond with Xiao Bei, Zhi Qing is consoled by Ji Ru Feng, the hotel’s celebrity spokesperson, who has long admired her. As Tian Qi’s feelings for Zhi Qing grow, the question remains: will he recover his memory and return to his former life?
