Welcome to the Occult Forest

A washed-up horror film director named Kôji Kuroishi (played by Kôji Shiraishi) and his assistant director, Miho Ichikawa, travel to a remote house in the mountains to shoot a film. Upon arrival, they meet a mentally unstable woman named Maria Miyoshi, who claims to be a fan of Kuroishi's work. She insists that she has experienced the same events depicted in his films. As unexplainable phenomena begin to occur, Kuroishi decides to document these experiences with the intention of turning them into a film. He is assisted by a "super volunteer" named Shôhei Uno and a handsome psychic medium named Nanashi.
