Betty arrives at Ecomoda for an interview for the position of presidential secretary with a brilliant résumé, but finds that there is a candidate with a better chance than her.

Armando hires Patricia and Betty as presidential secretaries. Although Betty is assigned the warehouse room as her office, Armando entrusts her with the most important duties, while Patricia is given responsibility for public relations, excluding any involvement with his personal agenda, a decision that angers Marcela.

During Betty's first buyers' parade, she causes a disruption when she attempts to assist Armando by handing him a color chart he has requested. In the process, she gets in the way of the parade and falls off the stage.

Armando tells Betty that the personal planner must not be given to anyone else. Marcela arrives at the office to express her frustration over Armando not including Patricia in his personal matters. As they argue about loyalty and commitment, Karina Larson, one of the models Armando was involved with, arrives. Betty attempts to have Karina removed from the company.

Betty attempts to conceal Karina's presence at Ecomoda, convincing Armando to take her there. However, Patricia has noticed Karina and informs Marcela. While Armando is away with Karina, they try to obtain Betty's agenda.

Marcela requests that Betty transfer her position to Patricia, particularly the diary. Armando arrives, tears up the letter, and argues with Marcela. He thanks Betty for her actions and informs her that she no longer needs to undergo a probationary period, as it will end soon. Meanwhile, Mario attempts to dissuade Armando from getting married by creating a computer program designed to help him find the ideal woman.

Marcela takes legal action against Armando over his history of womanizing. Eventually, she seduces him and forgives him, vowing not to interfere in his company matters again. Román contacts Betty to confirm his invitation to go out. After a conversation with his father, he receives permission. Betty waits for him to pick her up, even though more than an hour has passed.

Betty is overwhelmed with grief after being tricked once more, leaving her trapped in a difficult situation. Nicolás, filled with anger, confronts Román, who responds by punching him. Hermes, Betty's father, arrives to express his anger toward Román for deceiving Betty, and the confrontation escalates into a physical altercation.

Betty secretly works on a project intended to surprise Armando and make an impression during the meeting. Patricia overhears Betty discussing the plan with her mother. Meanwhile, Patricia begins to devise her own scheme. Armando meets with Betty to go over the agenda and file the necessary items.

Betty confronts Román and humiliates him. Patricia, with the help of Marcela, asks Betty for the reports, and Patricia gives them to their superiors as if she had prepared them, earning praise for her work. Armando and Marcela begin to question whether Betty is still necessary, given Patricia's apparent efficiency. At the company headquarters, Betty is invited to lunch, where she is informed of the latest office gossip.

The ugly women share with Betty the story of Ecomoda, including its characters, family rumors, and the rivalries between Armando and Daniel. Daniel requests that the board thoroughly examine Armando's proposal, deeming it unfeasible to carry out.

At the end of the meeting, the attendees congratulate Patricia on the report. Betty confronts her, but Marcela intervenes and convinces Betty not to tell Armando that the report was hers. The Ecomoda employees give Roberto a farewell serenade.

Armando asks Betty and Patricia to help him prepare the business plan, but Betty suggests that since Patricia wrote the report, Armando should handle the project. Patricia agrees and asks Mario for help. In turn, Betty asks Nicolás for assistance with the report.

Betty and Nicolás spend the night working on the project. Meanwhile, Mario and Patricia prepare dinner and discuss love. When Patricia tries to get Mario to work, he seduces her, and they wake up in bed.

Betty spends the entire night completing Armando's assignment, only to find him angry because she is late. Patricia and Mario also arrive late and have not completed their work. Betty does not get the opportunity to submit her work to Armando. Hermes arrives at Ecomoda to speak with Armando.

Betty, frightened, attempts to prevent Hermes from confronting Armando. At the same time, Armando, enraged, confesses to Marcela that Betty is no longer useful to him and that he intends to dismiss her. Armando fires Betty without allowing her the opportunity to hand over the work she had completed for him.

As they part ways, Betty gives him the report, and he, taken aback and intrigued, embraces Betty before sitting down with Mario to go through it. Patricia shares with Marcela the details of the wonderful night she spent with Mario and the potential for them to get married.

Marcela and Patricia are deeply frustrated to learn that Betty wasn't fired, but that she actually created the business plan that Armando and Mario are very happy with. Mario tries to avoid Patricia.

Daniel warns Olarte that from now on he has to take care of Betty and monitor any move she makes.

Betty becomes convinced that Armando is the love of her life after Mariana reads her letters. Armando announces to everyone that Betty will take over the financial management, taking over from Olarte. Patricia seeks an alliance with Olarte to fight Betty.

Patricia, hoping to make Mario jealous, arranges for Marcela to set her up with Mario's brother, Daniel Valencia. However, the attempt fails as Daniel shows clear disdain for her. Meanwhile, Aura María invites Betty to go out with a group of friends.

Betty goes out with Aura María and her friends to a nightclub, where both Betty and Aura María's friend find themselves bored. The man is disappointed because Betty is not the woman he had expected. Betty becomes terrified by the way Aura María behaves toward her friend.

Betty lies to her parents. Julia, her mother, is happy and convinced that Betty has met someone. Armando delegates responsibility for managing relations with the bank to Betty, overruling Olarte.

Armando thanks Betty for everything she has done for him, and she interprets it as a declaration of love. A few months later, Betty interrupts a racetrack event at the club to have Armando sign a promissory note for a loan disbursement. Marcela is surprised to see that Armando does not reprimand her but instead praises her for her actions.

Despite Marcela's anger, Armando asks Betty to stay and join them for lunch with the executives of RAG-TELA, a textile company, and once again Betty saves the business. Armando appoints her Assistant to the President. Betty cries with emotion.

Betty tells her friends that Armando has named her his presidential assistant, and they go to the bathroom to celebrate. Their celebration is interrupted by Patricia, who attacks them. Betty and her friends defend themselves, and Patricia later informs Marcela about the incident. Marcela then goes to Armando to report what happened.

Marcela contacts the headquarters and Gutiérrez, the chief of staff, to inform them that they will face reprimands and salary deductions for assault. Armando, having heard Betty's account of the events, interrupts the meeting, accuses Patricia, and announces Betty's appointment as assistant to the president. Betty shocks Armando with the report.

Armando, considering the situation and Betty's evaluation of the goals established for Armando's project, requests that Betty adjust the data for presentation at the meeting. Daniel arrives at Ecomoda and asks Olarte to attempt to review the report before the meeting.

Mario seduces Patricia and convinces her to go out with him that night. Armando arrives an hour late at the house where his parents have just arrived from London; Marcela doesn't speak to him. Betty works on the report with Nicolás and tells her parents they're going to raise her salary. Olarte goes into Betty's office and turns on the computer.

Olarte is unable to access Betty's computer. Betty and Nicolás spend the entire night working on the report. Meanwhile, Olarte and Patricia devise a plan to distract Betty in order to prevent her from completing her work for the meeting.

Patricia manages to lock Betty's computer. Armando informs the board that they must wait for the computer to be repaired. A technician asks Betty for the password in order to access the information.

The technician accuses Betty in front of the board of having damaged the computer and gives her the keys to extract the information. Betty's friends come to her aid, and Aura María contacts a friend who is a computer specialist. The specialist informs Betty that the damage can be repaired within an hour.

Betty informs Armando that the computer issue can be resolved quickly. He confronts the technician, who assures him it will take no more than 15 minutes. The ugly women watch him closely. Eventually, Armando announces that the report is ready and the meeting does not need to be delayed.

Betty presents the report to the board while the headquarters distracts the technician, and they retrieve the report from the files he is taking from Olarte.

The ugly group gives Betty the copies of the files the technician hid, and she in turn gives them to Armando. He interrogates her, and she confesses what happened, but only names Olarte as the sole culprit, saving Patricia. Armando then interrogates Olarte.

Orlando removes Olarte from Ecomoda, but does not betray Daniel or Patricia. Armando brings the family together, informs them of the dismissals and the reasons behind them, and in the process reassures Betty. The ugly women suspect Patricia, just as Armando and Mario do.

Betty insists that in order to achieve Armando's goals, the costs of quality fabrics must be significantly reduced. Sofia causes a scandal with her husband by failing to bring him all the money. Armando asks Betty to accompany him that night to conduct business with the fabric suppliers.

The Ugly Women's headquarters helps Betty get dressed and apply makeup, as she is set to accompany Armando to a cocktail party aimed at securing a business deal and fabric contract. Meanwhile, Daniel invites Patricia to his apartment and requests that she spy on Betty and Armando's activities in exchange for her silence.

As Betty examines the contract with RAG-TELA, Armando engages in flirtatious behavior with a former queen who is in attendance at the cocktail party.

Armando is interrupted in his flirtation with Claudia when he receives a call from Marcela. He then picks up Betty on the street and takes her home, once again urging her to remain by his side and trust him.

Hermes is informed that the company he works for is going bankrupt and that all employees will be laid off. Miguel calls Betty to confirm the appointment. Armando accompanies Betty to the banks to register the signature.

Betty requests a job for Nicolás from Armando. Armando informs Hugo and Marcela that during his trip, Betty will be in charge of the company.

Although she initially turns down Miguel's proposal, Betty suggests that Armando purchase supplies from the company, noting that they offer the most competitive prices. Daniel goes to see Patricia in an effort to gather information about the company.

Daniel asks Olarte to help him investigate whether the fabric dealers offered Betty commissions. Nicolás advises Betty to accept Miguel's offer. Mario goes out with Aura Maria.

Olarte confirms Daniel's suspicions regarding RAG-TELA. Armando, Mario, and Betty travel to RAG-TELA to sign the contract.

Armando and Mario sign the contract with RAG-TELA. Miguel calls Betty to ask how she wants their commission paid. Olarte calls Miguel, who tells him everything went very well with Betty. Daniel records this conversation.

Betty has lunch with her friends and imagines how she would use the commission she was offered at RAG-TELA. Meanwhile, Marcela is at the club with Hugo Lombardi and Patricia when she receives a call from her brother Daniel. Betty also dreams about what Armando would say if she had a lot of money.

Armando explains to Betty, somewhat concealing the truth, the conditions and reasons behind his need to create the company. She agrees and also tells him to use Olarte's office, though she asks him not to keep her away from him. Betty encourages Nicolás to join the new company and develop a new investment plan. A few days later, they proceed to register the company. Betty and Nicolás make the deposit for the new venture. Hugo puts the finishing touches on the choreography for the fashion show.

Betty informs Nicolás that she has received authorization from Armando to handle the money as they see fit.

Marcela convinces Hugo to participate in the fashion show using RAG-TELA fabrics. The event proceeds, but a visiting European designer tells Catalina that while the collection's designs are strong, the materials are lacking and that he believes the collection will not succeed.

After the parade concludes, singer Anasol takes the stage to perform. Marcela attempts to persuade Armando to apologize to Hugo, but he declines. As a result, Hugo resigns and departs from Ecomoda. Don Roberto cautions Armando that using those materials could lead to serious complications. Catalina then requests that Armando locate Hugo, as he may have the potential to publicly undermine him.

Armando goes to a bar in search of Hugo. Meanwhile, Betty and the barracks go to a nightclub. Nicolás is at another nightclub with Román and his friends. Hugo arrives at the bar and spots Armando.

The ugly girls become drunk, and Sofía discovers her ex-husband with the promoter, prompting her to create a scene. Roman and his friends deceive Nicolás, who is supposedly kissing Román, into paying the entire bill. Armando persuades Hugo to make a bet, with the condition that if he loses, he must dress up as a drag queen.

The entire headquarters becomes drunk, except for Inesita, who calls Fredy for assistance with everything. He takes Betty out, carrying her, and Don Hermes picks her up at the nightclub. Armando asks Betty to contact the executives to inform them that she is taking over Ecomoda.

Mario invites Aura María to lunch before the trip. Armando, Marcela, and Mario travel to Miami, where Betty takes over and has her first confrontation with Patricia upon becoming her boss. A few days later, Armando calls Betty, and she asks him to come to Colombia because the situation is not going well.

After reviewing the sales reports, Betty asks Patricia to confirm her return for the following day. Betty disapproves of Hugo's decision to hire models for sizing, and the team resists her authority. When Armando arrives and assesses the worsening situation, he requests a loan from Betty's company to support Ecomoda.

Nicolás provides Betty with the checkbook and the company stamp to secure the loan. Mario dismisses Aura María, prompting her to seek revenge. Armando and Mario prepare a check for 100 million pesos for Betty to sign.

Fredy, upon learning that Aura María isn't going to be fired, tries to locate her to warn her against Gutiérrez and asks Bertha, Gutiérrez's secretary, for her cell phone and home phone numbers. Armando receives a model at the office and asks Betty to be discreet. She stays locked in the office all night. Gutiérrez's wife arrives at the nightclub and angrily throws him out.

Fredy arrives at the nightclub and leaves the watch as collateral for the bill Gutiérrez left unpaid. Patricia apologizes to Daniel and accepts his terms. Armando, regretting having left Betty locked up all night, gives her the day off.

Gutiérrez arrives at Ecomoda in a visibly agitated state, marked by scratches and anger, demanding the resignation of Bertha and Fredy. The company headquarters seeks assistance from Armando, who then confronts Gutiérrez. Meanwhile, Mario proposes a new sales strategy aimed at saving the company.

After reviewing the disastrous sales report, Armando suggests to Betty that her company take over Ecomoda. Despite Betty's objections, Armando persuades her to agree. Marcela arrives from Miami and, upon learning of the situation, becomes angry with Betty. Armando, however, supports Betty in the confrontation.

During a casting call for a size model, Sofía's husband's mistress arrives and causes a disturbance, but Hugo ultimately decides to hire her.

Hugo proceeds to hire the promoter despite the objections of Sofía and Armando, who had previously requested the favor on his behalf. Betty provides Armando with a pledge as security for the seizure of Ecomoda.

Marcela expresses her concerns to Aura María regarding the controversy involving Mario. Armando requests that Betty maintain strict confidentiality about the transaction and take measures to prevent any leaks. Mario suggests to Armando that they purchase materials from a company that ships them from Panama. Betty is very concerned about the possibility of the Panamanian supplier being contacted. The promoter accepts Fredy's invitation to go out.

Meanwhile, Marcela waits for him accompanied by Daniel, Maria Beatriz, and the model she has hired that same night. Desperately, Armando asks Betty to pick him up in a taxi.

Betty picks up Armando, and since he is unable to enter Ecomoda because of his clothes, she takes him home. Julia and the narrator attempt to assist him. Hermes wakes up, and they hide Armando, but his cell phone rings.

Betty and Julia distract Hermes, allowing Armando to leave and go home. Patricia informs Daniel that Mario has gone to import fabrics. Armando and Marcela hire Patricia Vásquez.

Armando goes to Panama. Bertha wears the same dress she purchased at Ecomoda as Patricia's, which makes her angry, while Hugo and Marcela laugh. Fredy crashes Armando's car while flirting with the driver.

Patricia, acting on Daniel's instructions, starts spying on Betty to uncover the identities of suppliers in New York, but Betty eventually discovers the surveillance. Concerned, Betty attempts to find Armando in order to inform him about the situation.

Betty informs Armando about what happened with Patricia, prompting him to call Marcela to complain. Upon Armando's arrival, Fredy is unable to bring himself to tell him about the accident.

Armando is unaware of the car crash due to his anger toward Patricia, who avoids taking responsibility by pretending to be ill. Armando assumes the car was damaged in the apartment's garage, but Fredy is unharmed.

The Dian (National Police) arrests the truck drivers. Charlie Zaa arrives, and the barracks fall into chaos. Armando is shocked to realize they have been deceived, that the middleman has vanished, and that they cannot recover the fabrics.

Faced with an unresolved smuggling issue involving the Dian, Armando enlists Betty to have Terramoda take control of Ecomoda's assets. He then arranges a meeting with Marcela and Hugo to update them on the situation.

Armando summarizes for Marcela the supplier's deception that occurred in New York. Hermes volunteers to accompany Armando and Betty to the notary for the seizure process. Patricia contacts Armando to provide an update.

Don Hermes ends up complaining about Armando's mistreatment of Betty, and Betty, feeling repentant, tries to hide the situation. Mario attempts to get Patricia to talk about her pregnancy. Roberto and Margarita arrive, expressing concern over the failed collection. Marcela attempts to reassure them. Armando and Betty advise the bank manager to proceed with caution regarding the embargo.
