Mio Meguro is a timid individual who fears being disliked by others, which leads her to avoid expressing her true thoughts. She lacks clear goals or aspirations in life. After securing a job, she eventually begins a relationship with a man from her workplace. Mio wished to marry him, but he proves to be untrustworthy, ultimately leaving her financially ruined and unemployed. Her life spirals into a state of despair. By chance, Mio finds herself living in a sharehouse inhabited by mysterious supernatural beings known as yōkai. These creatures attempt to resolve her problems through unconventional and extreme methods.
