Zembla
Zembla is a Dutch television documentary program produced by VARA and NPS. The documentaries are based on in-depth research that can span several months, often focusing on controversial subjects. A 2001 documentary on fraud in the Dutch construction sector prompted parliamentary inquiries. In May 2006, the program revealed that politician Ayaan Hirsi Ali had lied in her asylum application, which led to her resignation from parliament.
