Zoey 101

Zoey returns to PCA with the intention of confessing her feelings to Chase, only to discover that he has already left in an effort to be closer to her. Despite obstacles such as Zoey's difficulty in expressing herself and Chase's annoying roommate, the two manage to have a video chat date in which they confess their love for each other. However, they ultimately decide to take a step back and move forward for now, with the hope of reuniting when Chase returns to PCA.

Michael and Logan try to mislead the housing office by inventing a fictional roommate named Chase in an effort to avoid being assigned a real one. Zoey accidentally leads to Coco losing her job, but she makes an effort to assist Coco in getting it back. At the same time, Dean Rivers appoints a new dorm advisor named Mira, who is subsequently fired for theft, including stealing his car, and Coco is rehired, although she does not appear in the episode's conclusion.

When their spring break trip to Yosemite is canceled, the group spends the week at the PCA campus, enjoying freedom and privacy. However, their fun is cut short when Dean Rivers accuses them of committing acts of vandalism.

A new student moves into Chase's dorm room, drawing Zoey's attention and sparking rumors about her having a crush on him.

Dustin becomes Logan's assistant, but the arrangement ends quickly when Logan leaves him an angry voicemail, which is later overheard by others, revealing his short temper. As a result, Dean Rivers orders Logan to attend anger management classes, which he can leave by staying calm—something Zoey is determined to prevent. Meanwhile, Lola is upset to discover that the peanuts she ate had been previously spat out by Quinn in a container labeled "Peanut Lemon."

In Zoey's physics class, the students go on a field trip to ride a roller coaster, an experience that excites most of them. However, Michael feels anxious due to his personal struggles. With the encouragement of his friends and Lisa, he is faced with the challenge of confronting his fears and making a decision about whether to participate.

As the school year comes to a close, Prom season approaches. Zoey had planned to spend her summer in Maui, but James's unexpected offer to join her throws her off balance. Meanwhile, Quinn and Logan try to attend Prom while keeping their relationship a secret by selecting each other's dates, which leads to unexpected outcomes. Lola is appointed head of the prom committee but faces challenges in balancing her fashion-forward lateness with the responsibilities of the role.
