26th Street Pictures is an American film production company that was founded in 1994 by Chris Columbus, Mark Radcliffe and Michael Barnathan under the name 1492 Pictures. The name referenced Christopher Columbus’s 1492 landing in the Americas. Its logo features a large detailed compass with the company name set against an ocean landscape background, and the fanfare for 1492 Pictures was composed by Hans Zimmer.
