Synopsis
Ian Fleming's 30 Commando unit was formed during World War II and is considered a precursor to the elite forces in the U.K. The unit was established with the aim of conducting amphibious raids and special operations. Fleming, who later became famous for creating the James Bond character, played a key role in its development and leadership. The 30 Commando was part of the larger British Commando movement, which was designed to carry out behind-the-lines operations against enemy forces. The unit's formation and operations contributed to the development of modern special forces tactics and training.
