Synopsis

After the traumatic death of his partner, forensic psychologist and best-selling author Alex Cross struggles with guilt and retires to find solace in peace. However, when a highly intelligent criminal kidnaps the young daughter of a senator, Alex is drawn back into the case as the kidnapper specifically targets him. Partnering with Jezzie Flanigan, the Secret Service agent tasked with protecting the missing girl, Alex traces a complex trail of clues that leads to a shocking realization—the kidnapper's motives extend far beyond a simple ransom.
