Synopsis
In Depression-era New England, a stingy businessman named Benedict Slade undergoes a change of heart on Christmas Eve when he is visited by three ghostly figures resembling individuals from whom he had taken possessions to collect on unpaid debts. Taking on roles similar to the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present, and Future from Charles Dickens' classic tale, the apparitions compel Slade to confront the repercussions of his greedy behavior, ultimately transforming him into a kinder, more generous, and amiable person.
