Synopsis

Set in Italy in the 1970s, *Vallanzasca* is based on the true story of one of the Italian underworld’s most infamous outlaws. Renato Vallanzasca became a criminal by age 9 and rose to become one of the country’s most notorious mobsters before turning 27. Alongside his gang, he seized control of the Milan underworld through a series of high-profile robberies, kidnappings, and murders. His actions captured public attention, and he earned the nickname "il bel Renè" for his handsome appearance and devilish charm. Arrested multiple times, Vallanzasca's daring prison escapes angered the government, his rivals, and further fueled his legend.
