Synopsis
Susan moves to Los Angeles and befriends Nicole, a party girl who suffers from painful stomach ulcers but cannot receive treatment without health insurance. Susan decides to temporarily switch identities with Nicole so that her friend can undergo surgery. However, when Nicole dies unexpectedly after the procedure, which also ends Susan’s legal identity, Susan is forced to continue posing as Nicole in order to reclaim her own life.
