Synopsis
Shot live during the 1993 revival, Sam Mendes' directorial debut was staged at the Donmar Warehouse in London's West End. Jane Horrocks plays Sally Bowles, Adam Godley portrays Cliff, and Alan Cumming takes on the role of the eccentric Emcee. Set in the Kit Kat Club in 1931 Berlin, the production follows starry-eyed singer Sally and the lewd Emcee as they embody the decadence of the era, while the Nazi party rises to power outside the club.
