Synopsis

James Mink is a Black man in Canada who has built a successful livery business and is married to a white woman named Elizabeth, with whom he has a daughter, Mary. A promising marriage is arranged for Mary with an American businessman. However, after James takes his daughter across the border, the man's true nature is revealed when he sells Mary into slavery. Determined to save their child, James and Elizabeth travel to Virginia to rescue her.
