Synopsis

Set nearly a decade after an extraterrestrial force has occupied the planet, the story examines the lives of residents in a Chicago neighborhood affected by the conflict. In a working-class area of the city where the alien presence has lasted for nine years, heightened surveillance and the erosion of civil liberties have led to the establishment of an authoritarian regime, while also fostering growing resistance among the local population.
